This was unexpected.
Major players were not in, and India was poorly performing till recently.
Rain swiped their first match. they just got 2nd match after draw. They were beaten by NZ in 1st match of super 8.
Ranking #1 Austrailia was doing some fluctuation but still Aussies are number one, and south africa was believed to be the one who will win the tournament…
But South africa was kicked out because of India.
Austrailia yielded a victory to India at semi final.
the archrival Pakistan was making the finale – with just 6 runs difference.
Now they are the champion of first T20 Cricket tornament. Gratz to Indian team!
short talk with one of my korean friend
a couple of days before, i was talking to my friend via msn… suddenly he said:
“man, why are you keep talking about cricket only?”
“oh was i? i didn’t mean it… no, i just got a bit shocked by Dravid’s sudden resign from captainity that’s all…..”
“oh cut it off man!!”
……………….. maybe i need some time to fit myself again in Korean mode once i go back

ICC 20over cricket worldcup이 시작됐다.
수요일날 Srini가 한턱내겠다고 (사실은 팀원들이 뒤집어 씌워서) MG Road의 한 술집에 저녁을 먹으러 갔는데. 마침 개막전 (West Indies vs South Africa)가 막 시작되고 있었다.
TV를 보더니 Naga하고 Satya왈 “홈경기니까 남아공이 이길꺼야.”
사실 내가 보기에도 그랬다. 하지만 객기란 소도둑보다 무서운것….. “서인도제도에는 chandrapaul이 있잖아… 니들은 같은 인도인을 응원하고 싶지 않냐?” 라고 말하고 말았다 ㅡ.ㅡ;

비인기 종목에 대한 관심도 급상승중
인도에서 1년정도 지내면서 처음에 가장 신경거슬렸던게 아무래도 텔레비전인것 같다. 원래 한국에 있을때도 텔레비전을 켜놓기만 하고 보지는 않지만 (누가 이걸 TV중독이라고 말했던 것도 같고)…
켜놓으면 채널은 50개 다되는거 같은데 그중 거의 40개는 인도말로 뭐라뭐라 떠들고… 영어로 떠드는것도 간신히 뭐라고 하나 알아들을랑말랑 할정도니 영 불편하기만 했다. Read the rest of this entry »
